Background: Damien left home at the age of 17 after coming to blows with his adoptive family about his behavior toward his education, and the amount of fights he'd get himself into. After just living on the streets for a few days he was taken in by a group of smartly dressed adults who claimed to give him a new and better life.
These group of people were the leader's of an organisation --nicknamed "The Hawks"-- which specialise in the rescue and sanctuary of special individuals that posses unique gifts. These people get targeted by other organisations in order to use them to their advantage and then rip away their power once they're done.
The Hawks are around in order to stop this from happening.
Damien was trained in the area of machinery, taking a particular shine to piloting aircraft. After his 5 years of being a part of The Hawks, he is known as the youngest and one of the most experienced pilots in the whole organisation. This ensures him a spot on almost every trip away from the island in which their base is located, transporting other members and equipment to and fro.
Even after 5 years, his adoptive family still search for any information on his whereabouts, and his photo is often seen on the news to advertise him as a "missing person".
